滿京華美術(shù)館位于藝象iD TOWN國(guó)際藝術(shù)區(qū)1號(hào)樓，原為鴻華印染廠的整裝車間。整裝車間，對(duì)完成印染工序的織物進(jìn)行后續(xù)加工并預(yù)備出廠。在90年代后期，該車間有70-80名工人同時(shí)作業(yè)，承擔(dān)著拉幅、預(yù)縮整理、成品檢驗(yàn)等多道工序。廠房配備大型的縮水機(jī)、拉幅機(jī)、定型機(jī)等設(shè)備，在滿負(fù)荷運(yùn)轉(zhuǎn)的情況下，整裝車間年生產(chǎn)能力達(dá)80多萬碼（碼是布的計(jì)量單位,1碼約為0.91米）。據(jù)老工人回憶，車間不少設(shè)備由國(guó)外進(jìn)口。
2003年-2013年，鴻華印染廠破產(chǎn)后的10年間，作為最靠近葵鵬公路的建筑，由于周邊植物的繁盛，也少有人窺視到這超12米層高的巨大空間。
2014年1月11日，在藝象iD TOWN“有機(jī)體“展覽開幕當(dāng)天，此處開辟為臨時(shí)停車場(chǎng)，當(dāng)空靈的舊工業(yè)廠房停滿光亮的汽車，奇異的體驗(yàn)給來賓們留下深刻的印象。
不觸碰任何原建筑結(jié)構(gòu)是滿京華美術(shù)館改造的核心精神，使得“新-舊”建筑在共存的同時(shí)相互依賴?？偨ㄖ娣e3600平米，一層設(shè)置了大面積的半室內(nèi)空間，在保證舊廠房與新美術(shù)館間通暢性的同時(shí)，也提供了大量的公共活動(dòng)空間。二層充分利用舊建筑的天窗，為各類展覽提供了獨(dú)有的自然采光條件，以打造成專業(yè)級(jí)的藝術(shù)空間。
2014年10月25日，由整裝車間“置換”成的滿京華美術(shù)館將迎來她的首展——“置換?界內(nèi)界外2014當(dāng)代藝術(shù)邀請(qǐng)展”。
過去，整裝車間作為印染廠所有工序的最后一個(gè)環(huán)節(jié)并且預(yù)備出廠。今天，滿京華美術(shù)館將為來自全球各地的設(shè)計(jì)師、藝術(shù)家提供一個(gè)為設(shè)計(jì)作品以及藝術(shù)品綜合展示的平臺(tái)。
MJH Art Museum locatesat #1 building in the art zone - the building where Honghua Printing and DyeingFactory was previously established. No changes have been made to modify theoriginal construction structure, and New-Old buildings can thus coexist todepend on each other. That is where the core of the art museum lies in. With atotal construction area of 3,600 square meters, a large-scale semi-interiorspace has been created on the first floor to channel the old factory and MJH ArtMuseum smoothly, and to make spacious area available to the public. On thesecond floor, we have made good use of the roof window to collect enoughnatural sunlight for the convenience of holding various exhibitions. Therefore,a professional Art Space has been forged out of the world.
Previously, thebuilding was the place to conduct the last processing procedure before finishedproducts leave the factory. Nowadays, MJH Art Museum has presented acomprehensive exhibition platform for famous designers and artists all aroundtheworld to display their works of art.
